Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the development, validation, and quality improvement of automotive battery and charging system components. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in battery technologies, electromechanical systems, automotive electrical architecture, and supplier collaboration, while driving technical excellence throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Development and validation of automotive battery and charging system components, including 12V batteries, alternators, and Belt Starter Generators (BSG).
- Define technical requirements and ensure compliance with vehicle-level functional, performance, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to support component design, development, testing, and launch activities.
- Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and validation plans.
- Ensure component integration aligns with vehicle packaging, electrical architecture, EMC, and environmental requirements.
- Serve as the technical expert for assigned component families, covering both mechanical and electrical/electronic aspects.
- Apply engineering best practices throughout product development, including Design FMEA and risk mitigation activities.
- Support technical issue resolution during development, validation, and production phases.
- Provide guidance and technical direction to internal teams and suppliers.
- Support root cause investigations for product and field issues.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to improve product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve quality, cost, and performance objectives.
- Support customer claim analysis and warranty-related investigations.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
