Senior Lead Validation Engineer

The Senior Lead Validation Engineer is responsible to lead electrical feature validation and verification for specific vehicle programs and should be capable of working with suppliers, various Engineering Support teams including systems, wiring, design release engineers, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams as required to validate and resolve electrical issues to support successful vehicle launch. Responsibilities include managing and creating test plans for electrical features across the vehicle, developing, maintaining, and executing test plans at the vehicle level, reporting defects based upon test plan failures, managing issues and root cause analysis of issues found, providing feedback on System Requirements to ensure specs are testable, managing team budgets and tasks.

Candidate shall have a BS in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent, 6+ years experience in various automotive roles, experience in electrical systems design, development, or test engineering, experience in validation of complex systems and resource and financial budgets/allocation, experience in developing/scheduling DVP&R (Design Verification Plan and Report), aligning necessary resources, and detailed electrical test procedures, effective communication and presentation skills, ability to multitask many assignments and coordinate testing for numerous validation test engineers and programs, highly developed interpersonal/collaborative skills, demonstrates ability to work independently, achieve deadlines, while exhibiting a high degree of proficiency in a fast-paced work environment with minimum assistance, demonstrated problem-solving skills and experience in leading projects, team leadership experience, and the ability to engage and motivate team members, exceptional communication and facilitation skills with proven ability to communicate clearly and succinctly with executive management, record of successful and measurable process/performance improvement initiatives.
