Job OverviewThe Electrical Process Engineering Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of salaried bargaining unit process engineers supporting trim, chassis, and final assembly operations throughout the vehicle lifecycle—from initial design concept through plant launch.
This role focuses on developing and implementing manufacturing processes and tooling, while driving data‑based decision‑making to ensure successful project execution. The supervisor will manage complex engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget, while also promoting design‑for‑manufacturing principles across all programs.
The position requires strong leadership capabilities to build a collaborative team environment, encouraging engineers to take ownership of their processes and deliver continuous improvement. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working with cross‑functional teams and leadership across multiple levels of the organization. The role may require significant domestic and international travel.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and mentor process engineers responsible for manufacturing process development.
- Support the development of process tooling and manufacturing solutions for trim, chassis, and final assembly operations.
- Manage engineering projects from concept through vehicle launch, ensuring alignment with project timing and budget targets.
- Drive data‑driven decision‑making and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Lead root cause analysis and issue resolution using tools such as Fishbone diagrams, 5 Whys, FMEA, Pareto analysis, Histograms, Six Sigma, and Red X methodologies.
- Promote and implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) concepts throughout engineering projects.
- Foster a strong team‑oriented environment, empowering engineers to take ownership of their processes and solutions.
- Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams and management at all levels to ensure successful program delivery.
