Control Tower & Field Quality Engineer
The North America Quality organization is currently seeking a Control Tower & Field Quality Engineer to join the Control Tower & Field Quality team (CTFQ) at the Headquarters & Technical Center (QEC) Auburn Hills, MI. CTFQ Engineer is responsible for assisting in the administration and/or coordination of multiple vehicle systems including compiling project status reports, coordinating project schedules, managing project meetings, agendas, minutes and correspondence.
The incumbent will report to a team lead or supervisor/manager and should have knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures for automotive and powertrain development. This opportunity is in Propulsion System Group
- Transmission and Driveline.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Facilitating cross functional project meetings
- Compile project status reports, coordinate project schedules, agendas, minutes and correspondence
- Identify and analyze system requirements, and define project scope, requirements, and deliverables involving multiple stakeholders
- Lead the resolution of warranty related issues
- Accountable for problem solving process, proposed solution, validation, and weekly progress - Lead Triage - warranty claims review, sorting claims and bucketing, review and call vehicles at dealers, support Stellantis/Suppliers review at Quality Engineering Center and Manufacturing locations.
- Establish & validate containment & permanent actions at Stellantis / Supplier Plants by physically reviewing the product/process changes, internal metrics and control plan update
- Maintain project timelines

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from accredited University
- 5+ years of experience in Product Engineering
- 2+ years of experience in testing/validation/test method development, including fixture design, instrumentation, data acquisition, etc.
- Knowledge about Transmission and Driveline system and components
- Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel and Project
- Working knowledge of Teamcenter
- Working knowledge of GD&T and understanding full detail on drawings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in engineering
- Familiar w/ Quality-related metrics
- Shainin RedX Black Belt
- Green Belt / Kepner Tregoe
- Design for Six Sigma
- Project Management
