Join an industry-leading automotive engineering team responsible for developing next-generation in-vehicle display systems from concept through production. This is an opportunity to own critical vehicle components, lead supplier execution, and drive engineering programs from launch to production while working alongside cross-functional teams developing cutting-edge vehicle technology.
This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys owning a product, managing suppliers, solving technical challenges, and bringing complex automotive systems to production.
What You'll DoOwn assigned display module programs from development through production launch.
Manage supplier performance, engineering deliverables, timing, and technical issue resolution.
Lead design release activities, engineering changes, and production part releases.
Coordinate validation, testing, and production readiness across multiple engineering organizations.
Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions for design and integration issues.
Work closely with electrical, mechanical, software, manufacturing, HMI, and validation teams.
Track program milestones and ensure projects remain on schedule.
Support vehicle testing, warranty investigations, and engineering evaluations.
Communicate technical status and risks to engineering leadership and program teams.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or another Engineering discipline.
3+ years of engineering experience within automotive or other complex product development industries.
Experience as a Design Release Engineer (DRE) or owning components through the product development lifecycle.
Experience managing suppliers and driving engineering deliverables.
Strong project management and cross-functional communication skills.
Experience supporting validation, testing, and product launch activities.
Ability to manage multiple engineering priorities with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
Automotive display, infotainment, HMI, or ECU experience.
Experience with DFMEA and DVP&R methodologies.
Knowledge of CAN, CAN FD, LIN, Ethernet, LVDS, or GMSL communication protocols.
Experience using Vector CANoe or other vehicle network analysis tools.
Familiarity with Teamcenter and NX (Unigraphics).
Experience supporting hardware/software integration and system validation.
Master's degree in Engineering.

Location100% onsite - Auburn Hills, MI.
Occasional travel to local suppliers within Metro Detroit.
Limited vehicle testing and evaluation activities.
Domestic and occasional international travel may be required.
