Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Seat Complete Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and launch of automotive seating systems. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with seat structures, seat components, foam, trim, and complete seat assemblies, along with a strong understanding of vehicle integration, product development, and manufacturing support.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and integrate complete automotive seating systems, including structures, components, foam, trim, and assemblies.
- Manage product release activities, including BOM creation, engineering changes, and design revisions.
- Ensure successful seat system integration within vehicle platforms.
- Develop and support DVP&R/DVPR activities, prototype builds, and production launches.
- Investigate design and manufacturing issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality, delivery, and technical requirements are achieved.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams including Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Support weight reduction, cost optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide regular project status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
- Minimum 5 years of automotive engineering experience.
- Experience with complete seat systems, seat integration, and seating components.
- Strong understanding of vehicle packaging and system integration.
- Experience managing BOMs, engineering releases, and change management processes.
- Proficiency with NX and Teamcenter or similar CAD/PLM systems.
- Knowledge of FMVSS and ECE safety regulations.
- Experience with DFMEA and design quality methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project leadership skills.
- Experience supporting prototype builds, validation testing, and production launches.
- Familiarity with supplier management and component development.
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams in a global engineering environment.
- Background in cost reduction and weight optimization initiatives.
