Responsibilities
- Develop and execute battery validation plans for high-voltage battery packs and modules.
- Perform functional, electrical, thermal, mechanical, and environmental validation testing.
- Validate battery performance under various operating conditions and drive cycles.
- Analyze test data and prepare detailed validation reports.
- Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Battery Design, BMS, Controls, Software, and Test teams.
- Support battery system integration and vehicle-level validation activities.
- Ensure compliance with Stellantis quality standards and automotive regulations.
- Work with laboratory equipment and test automation tools for battery validation.
- Support DV/PV testing and production validation activities.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in Battery Validation, EV Battery Testing, or Battery Systems
- Strong understanding of Lithium-Ion battery technology and high-voltage battery systems
- Experience with battery validation methodologies (DV, PV, Reliability Testing)
- Hands-on experience with battery cyclers, environmental chambers, and data acquisition systems
- Knowledge of CAN communication, CANalyzer/CANoe, CANape, or similar Vector tools
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink is preferred
- Familiarity with BMS (Battery Management System) validation
- Knowledge of automotive standards such as ISO 26262, UN38.3, SAE, and IEC battery standards
- Strong troubleshooting, data analysis, and documentation skills
- Experience with EV/Hybrid vehicle battery system
- Exposure to Python, LabVIEW, or test automation tools is a plus
- Experience working with automotive OEMs or Tier-1 supplier
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skill
