Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute battery validation plans for high-voltage battery packs and modules.
  • Perform functional, electrical, thermal, mechanical, and environmental validation testing.
  • Validate battery performance under various operating conditions and drive cycles.
  • Analyze test data and prepare detailed validation reports.
  • Investigate test failures, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Battery Design, BMS, Controls, Software, and Test teams.
  • Support battery system integration and vehicle-level validation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with Stellantis quality standards and automotive regulations.
  • Work with laboratory equipment and test automation tools for battery validation.
  • Support DV/PV testing and production validation activities.
Required Skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in Battery Validation, EV Battery Testing, or Battery Systems
  • Strong understanding of Lithium-Ion battery technology and high-voltage battery systems
  • Experience with battery validation methodologies (DV, PV, Reliability Testing)
  • Hands-on experience with battery cyclers, environmental chambers, and data acquisition systems
  • Knowledge of CAN communication, CANalyzer/CANoe, CANape, or similar Vector tools
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink is preferred
  • Familiarity with BMS (Battery Management System) validation
  • Knowledge of automotive standards such as ISO 26262, UN38.3, SAE, and IEC battery standards
  • Strong troubleshooting, data analysis, and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with EV/Hybrid vehicle battery system
  • Exposure to Python, LabVIEW, or test automation tools is a plus
  • Experience working with automotive OEMs or Tier-1 supplier
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skill
