Position: FEV Project Engineer / Calibrator – Powertrain & Thermal

Calibration Engineer

If you have any Powertrain and/or Thermal Calibration skill, you are welcome to join our Calibration Team.

As a Calibration Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for conducting Bench/Vehicle Evaluations and Software Calibration of Powertrain and Thermal Systems, such as:
Transmission System, Electrical Motor Inverter, Battery, Energy Management, Thermal Management System and Cabin Controls.

Your responsibilities will include supporting a variety of aspects of the Vehicle/Powertrain Controllers Software Calibration Development.

You will be expected to conduct projects with a high level of professionalism while meeting and/or exceeding our Client's Technical and Timing expectations within the predefined Project Budget limits. The Engineer will also be responsible for planning Calibration works and Vehicle evaluations, Setup Calibration Tools, Data Acquisition and Analysis, preparing Presentations, Test and Calibration Reports.

Hands-on aptitudes/interest with strong attention to detail and desire/ability to understand Test Results, Calibration Changes, Software, Hardware and the Control of other Vehicle's Components which has an interaction with the Component being calibrated is a key.

Work may involve work at Customer facilities and at other regions supporting Calibration work in different environment conditions.

Requirements

  • BSME or BSEE minimum required.
  • Understanding of Vehicle Controller Software, Calibration and Hardware Components.
  • Experience with Vehicle Components, Vehicle Data Acquisition and Evaluation.
  • Demonstrated Teamwork, Analytical and Problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead testing/calibration projects and provide direction to less experienced engineers as well as technicians.
  • Working knowledge of any type of Propulsion Controller/Component.
  • Programming (Excel/Visual Basic, MATLAB/Simulink, C++, etc.).
  • Data acquisition equipment HW/SW such as ATI Vision, ETAS INCA, CANape, CANalyzer, CSM, etc.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Project, etc.).
  • At least 3 years of experience in related positions.
