Engine System Cooling Engineer

Pay Rate: $49.50 - $50.90/hr

The Engine System Cooling team designs, develops, validates, and releases cooling components for electrified vehicles. Components include:

• Cooling module assemblies (radiator, condenser, electric fan assembly)
• Transmission oil coolers
• High- and low-pressure hose and tube assemblies
• Electric coolant heaters
• Valves and pumps

Components are developed using industry best practices and methodologies, including CAE, System Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), and Design Validation Plans (DVP&R).

• Own a set of cooling components across all stages of vehicle development
• Lead early packaging and development of components to meet cooling functional objectives
• Coordinate CAE, design, prototyping, and testing activities, along with associated documentation
• Partner with suppliers to ensure design for manufacturability, and track supplier progress to meet part maturity and creation milestones
• Support vehicle assembly and testing, resolving any component-related issues identified
• Address quality concerns and identify potential cost reductions post-launch
