Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end development and release of assigned 12V electrical components from concept through production launch.
- Lead DVPR (Design Verification Plan & Report) activities, including validation planning, test execution, issue tracking, documentation, and engineering sign-off.
- Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for design, validation, production, and field issues using structured problem-solving methodologies. Develop and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage supplier technical activities throughout the product development lifecycle, including design reviews, validation, issue resolution, change management, and production readiness.
- Lead component release activities, including engineering documentation, design reviews, validation approval, change management, and production release.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and Validation to ensure successful program execution.
- Ensure components meet performance, quality, cost, timing, regulatory, and manufacturability objectives.
- Support warranty investigations, customer claims, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality and reliability.
- 3+ years of automotive component development experience.
- Hands-on experience with 12V automotive electrical systems (battery systems, alternators, Belt Starter Generators (BSG), or similar electromechanical components).
- Strong experience with DVPR (Design Verification Plan & Report), including planning, execution, documentation, and validation sign-off.
- Demonstrated experience performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing corrective actions for design, validation, and production issues.
- Experience managing suppliers throughout component development, validation, engineering release, and production launch.
- Experience owning component release activities
, including engineering change management, design reviews, release approvals, and production readiness. - Knowledge of Battery Management Systems (BMS), automotive E/E architecture, EMC, DFMEA, packaging constraints, and automotive validation processes.
- Experience working with global cross-functional engineering teams.
