Automatic Transmission Development & Validation Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated Automatic Transmission Development & Validation engineer to join our engineering team. This role is responsible for the design, development, testing, and validation of automatic transmission systems. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in powertrain engineering and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment focused on delivering high-quality vehicle performance and durability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead development and validation activities for automatic transmission systems
- Design and develop components aligned to performance, durability, and functional requirements
- Plan and execute validation testing, including test plans, bill of materials (BOM), and test schedules
- Support test cell setup, instrumentation, debugging, and execution of validation programs
- Perform root cause analysis of test issues, failures, and stoppages; drive corrective actions
- Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, software, calibration, thermal management, and engine engineering teams
- Analyze test data and generate validation reports with actionable recommendations
- Lead post-test inspection activities and documentation of results
- Manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables effectively

Drive and test prototype, mule, and test vehicles on a frequent basis Work in a hands-on vehicle development and testing environment - Travel Requirements Expected travel: 0-20% Candidates should be able to travel freely between:
United States and Canada United States and Mexico Travel may be required on short notice to support vehicle assembly plants and testing activities. Typical travel frequency expected to be a few times per year.
