The Prototype Build Engineer will be responsible for managing all prototype build activities including developing and communicating build plans based on vehicle specifications, coordinating purchasing, tracking development, and program timing for parts. In addition, this individual will be responsible for leading multiple teams to ensure all program deliverables are met and any issues affecting build quality, engineering design, manufacturing process, and timing are resolved.
The Prototype Build Engineer must have the ability to direct issue resolution at all levels.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Aero/Industrial Engineering
- Basic vehicle build process knowledge
- Fluency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong leadership and excellent communication skills
- Must be comfortable with preparing presentations and presenting to all levels
- Strong self-starter able to manage multiple programs and communicate status to management
- Formula SAE experience or relevant automotive internship experience is preferred for entry level candidates
- Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in automotive, aerospace fields
- Candidates MUST possess a strong mechanical engineering foundation with exposure to the following areas:

- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced prototype environment

- Ability to balance multiple priorities while meeting program timing requirements

- Standard 40-hour work week
