We are seeking an experienced Automotive Component / Systems Engineer with hands‑on experience in component and system‑level development, root cause analysis, 12V electrical systems, battery‑related technologies, DVP&R, and component release.
The ideal candidate will have experience taking automotive components from development through validation and release, working closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to identify and resolve issues and ensure components meet functional, performance, reliability, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Lead component‑and system‑level engineering activities throughout the vehicle development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report) for assigned components and systems.
- Define validation requirements, test plans, and acceptance criteria based on engineering requirements.
- Perform root cause analysis for component and system‑level issues using structured problem‑solving methodologies.
- Investigate electrical, functional, performance, and reliability issues and develop appropriate corrective actions.
- Support development and integration of 12V electrical systems and battery‑related components.
- Analyze vehicle electrical system behavior and component interactions to identify potential failure modes and performance issues.
- Work with suppliers and internal engineering teams to resolve design, validation, manufacturing, and field‑related issues.
- Review engineering designs and specifications to ensure compliance with vehicle and system requirements.
- Coordinate component testing, validation, and issue resolution with test and validation teams.
- Track open issues, identify risks, and drive issues to closure.
- Support component release activities, including engineering documentation, design reviews, validation results, and release approvals.
- Ensure released components meet applicable functional, performance, reliability, and quality requirements.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and cross‑functional problem‑solving activities.
- Provide technical recommendations based on test results, failure analysis, and engineering data.
