We are seeking a highly experienced Functional Safety professional with strong expertise in ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 (SOTIF). The consultant will lead safety activities for chassis systems and ADAS-chassis integration while serving as the key safety interface between engineering teams, suppliers, OEM customers, and certification bodies.
Required Skills & Experience- 8+ years of Functional Safety experience in automotive systems
- Strong expertise in:
- ISO 26262 Functional Safety
- ISO 21448 (SOTIF)
- ASPICE
- HARA, FSC, TSC, Safety Goals, ASIL Classification
- FMEA, FTA, FMEDA
- Safety Case Development
- Experience with:
- Braking Systems (Hydraulic, Electro-Hydraulic, Brake-by-Wire)
- Steering Systems (EPS, Steer-by-Wire)
- Suspension & Vehicle Dynamics
- ADAS-Chassis Integration (AEB, ACC, LKA)
- Chassis Domain Controllers, Sensors & Actuators
- Hands-on experience with:
- Medini Analyze
- IBM DOORS / Polarion / Codebeamer
- MATLAB/Simulink
- dSPACE
- CANoe
- Experience working with OEMs, suppliers, and safety assessment bodies
- Lead the complete ISO 26262 safety lifecycle
- Develop Item Definitions, HARA, Safety Goals, FSC, and TSC
- Define and manage safety requirements (FSR, TSR, HW, SW)
- Perform safety analyses including FMEA, FTA, and FMEDA
- Lead SOTIF activities and safety validation
- Support homologation, certification, and functional safety assessments
- Coordinate safety activities across global cross-functional teams
