Our client, a leading automotive industry organization, is seeking a Warranty Analysis Engineer to join their team. As a Warranty Analysis Engineer, you will be part of the quality and engineering support team, focusing on warranty failure analysis, root cause investigation, and product reliability improvements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate analytical thinking, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Warranty Analysis Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills, MI (On Site)
What's the Job?
- Perform detailed warranty part analysis and failure investigations for returned field components.
- Conduct root cause analysis using engineering methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, FMEA, and fault tree analysis.
- Analyze failed components related to transmission, gearbox, axles, and driveline systems.
- Support disposition activities including teardown analysis, repairability assessment, and rework recommendations.
- Collaborate with design engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing, and service teams to drive corrective and preventive actions.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in automotive warranty analysis, product engineering, or failure analysis.
- Strong understanding of automotive mechanical systems and engineering principles.
- Experience with teardown analysis and component diagnostics.
- Ability to interpret CAD drawings, engineering specifications, and test reports.
