Facilities Engineer; Electrical

About the Opportunity

EPMA is seeking an Electrical-focused Facilities Engineer to support a client operating within the defense and aerospace sector.

This is a client-facing engineering role combining electrical facilities expertise, contractor oversight, engineering analysis and program support
. You will work across complex facility, infrastructure and manufacturing environments to identify operational risks, improve performance and support the effective delivery of facility programs.

The ideal candidate combines strong electrical engineering fundamentals with practical facilities or industrial experience and is comfortable working directly with clients, contractors and technical stakeholders.

• Provide electrical engineering expertise across facility and infrastructure programs.
• Conduct facility inspections, technical evaluations and engineering analyses.
• Assess equipment and infrastructure performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
• Analyze operational data and perform engineering calculations and root-cause analysis.
• Identify infrastructure risks, deficiencies and performance issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee and coordinate contractor-executed engineering, maintenance and facility activities.
• Evaluate contractor performance against cost, schedule, quality and compliance requirements.
• Review engineering findings, inspections, reports and contractor deliverables.
• Provide technical recommendations supporting facility performance, manufacturing optimization, operational efficiency and cost reduction.
• Participate in client meetings, program reviews and technical discussions.
• Prepare clear engineering assessments, reports and presentations.
• Support real-property activities involving permits, easements, rights-of-way, licenses, leases and land-use agreements.
• Coordinate across client teams, contractors and internal stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering or a related technical field

• Relevant experience within facilities engineering, electrical infrastructure, utilities, industrial facilities or a comparable environment
  .
• Ability to conduct engineering assessments, facility inspections and technical risk evaluations.
• Experience coordinating or overseeing contractors, vendors or engineering service providers.
• Strong engineering judgment and problem-solving capability.
• Ability to interpret technical and regulatory requirements and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Confidence working directly with clients, contractors and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to travel to client locations as required.

• Defense or aerospace facilities.
• Manufacturing or production environments.
• Electrical utility or facility infrastructure.
• Engineering consulting or other client-facing technical roles.
• Contractor oversight or prior Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) experience.
• Real-property regulations, permitting, easements, rights-of-way or land-use agreements.
• PE or EIT credentials are advantageous but not required.

Success in this role requires someone who can combine electrical engineering knowledge with a practical understanding of facility operations. You'll be able to identify risks, work effectively with contractors, communicate confidently with stakeholders and develop engineering solutions that improve infrastructure reliability, efficiency and overall facility performance.
