Job PurposeThe Senior Financial Analyst, Technical Accounting will manage accounting related to the company’s global hedging program, collaborate with Treasury on risk‑exposure initiatives, maintain treasury‑management system accounting, research and document technical accounting positions, provide U.S. GAAP guidance globally, support SEC filings, and lead process‑improvement projects, including automation and AI integration.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and manage foreign‑exchange related activities; support month‑end close, record journal entries, prepare reconciliations, and assist global finance teams.
- Perform net investment hedge capacity calculations for hedge‑effectiveness testing.
- Manage third‑party activities for annual goodwill impairment testing and pension accounting.
- Research technical accounting for complex transactions (e.g., M&A) to determine U.S. GAAP application and SEC filing impacts; document conclusions in technical accounting memos.
- Collaborate with reporting teams to prepare accounting entries and SEC filings such as the company’s form 10‑Q and 10‑K.
- Lead ad‑hoc projects on process improvements, accounting‑policy updates, and procedures.
- 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with derivative and/or One Stream experience a plus.
- BA in Accounting or Finance required.
- CPA strongly preferred.
- Public accounting or SEC reporting experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly driven, self‑starter, and problem‑solver.
- Strong organizational, critical‑thinking, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
