Summary Now hiring a Financial Analyst to support a high-impact cost reduction and value creation initiative tied to direct material spend. This Financial Analyst role is ideal for someone with purchasing finance, manufacturing finance, product finance, FP&A, or cost analysis experience who can build clear business cases, validate savings, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive measurable results. Responsibilities- Build, validate, and defend financial business cases supporting cost reduction and direct material savings
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (finance, purchasing, engineering, cost engineering) to evaluate and size savings opportunities
- Analyze supplier quotes and cost drivers using "should cost" and cost breakdown methodologies
- Create supplier fact packs and negotiation support materials; track progress to savings targets
- Monitor governance and documentation standards to ensure savings are properly supported and approved
- Maintain accurate financial models, trackers, and reports; communicate status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders
- Support purchasing finance reporting concepts such as flow-through, carryover, and incremental savings
- Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities while maintaining strong organization and attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years experience in Purchasing Finance, Manufacturing Finance, Product Finance, FP&A, Cost Analyst/Cost Accountant, Plant Cost Analyst, or comparable analytical role
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivots, lookups; strong data accuracy)
- Experience developing business cases and presenting recommendations to cross-functional teams
- Understanding of cost reduction programs, savings validation, and supplier negotiation support
- Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Automotive and/or manufacturing finance experience strongly preferred
