LEAD CERTIFIED THERAPEUTIC RECREATIONAL THERAPIST - Full-Time

Havenwyck Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited and licensed psychiatric hospital overlooking Lake Galloway in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Lead CTRS is responsible for providing Recreational Therapy services, including assessments, treatment planning, therapeutic activity interventions, and discharge leisure planning. The Lead CTRS utilizes individual and/or group activity interventions to bring about positive changes in the client’s behavior, cognition, social, emotional, or physical well-being. The Lead CTRS educates clients in healthy coping skills and available leisure resources to continue their post-discharge leisure planning and involvement.

The Lead CTRS will provide services in accordance with current standards of practice.

• Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from an approved program required.
• Certification by the National Certification Board (NCTRC) required.
• Two (2) years clinical experience required; psychiatric experience preferred.
• Employee must be in good standing (evaluation/employment history, corrective action, etc.) to be considered for internal transfer.
