Job PurposeThe Human Resources Manager serves as a collaborative advisor to the assigned global function(s)’ leadership on all people strategy related matters. This position assesses and anticipates HR-related needs, providing proactive solutions to assigned global functional leader(s) and the related employee groups globally.
There is a strong focus on talent selection, people development, organizational structure, processes, and culture. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: employee relations, talent sourcing, policy/procedure implementation and compliance, training and development, performance management, talent management and compensation. Facilitates a collaborative working environment and implements appropriate change management initiatives. Reports to Corp HR and Talent Director.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary contact point for HR-related topics, especially to the functional leaders; will work alongside the Corporate Regional HR Team.
- Be a strategic advisor to assigned global function(s), aligning all people-related priorities with business objectives.
- Drive workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies, partnering with leaders to identify staffing needs and strengthen internal and external pipelines.
- Lead core talent management processes, including performance management, succession planning, talent assessments, and development planning.
- Build strong relationships with leaders and employees at all levels, ensuring open communication, trusted partnership, and timely resolution of employee relations matters, including conducting investigations with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Support organizational development, capability building, and cultural transformation efforts across functions.
- Coordinate global mobility activities, supporting employee moves and international assignments.
- Ensure consistent execution of HR programs and processes—including compensation, policy implementation, Workday governance, and HR metrics reporting.
- Maintain compliance with employment laws and HR policies, mitigating risk and supporting a culture of operational excellence.
- Demonstrate commitment to health and safety, completing required training and consistently modeling safe work practices.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, supporting continued excellence and adaptability within the HR function.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related discipline required.
- Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience as a HR Business Partner, including supporting global functions.
- Has worked with C-level or senior business leaders in a global work environment.
- Preferred experience includes working in an automotive environment and 1-3 years supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated ability in a broad range of Human Resources functions, such as recruiting, performance management, employee relations, compensation, talent management, etc.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects, and stakeholders.
- Must be a team player with strong people skills; able to build and influence relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Proactive, decisive, analytical, and able to work independently on a broad variety of subjects.
- Must demonstrate strong communication (verbal, written, and non-verbal), listening, and problem-solving skills.
- Energetic with a strong sense of urgency, accuracy, and accountability.
