Business Analyst

We seek a Business Analyst based out of our office at 3800 Automation Avenue, Auburn Hills, MI 48326. This hybrid role requires the employee to work both from home and the office, and the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance. No travel is required.

• Act as a liaison between the Finance business unit and the IT team, bridging communication and collaboration.
• Ensure IT solutions meet business needs and contribute to overall organizational success.
• Lead data analytics for Drivetrain Morse Systems (DMS), managing and analyzing business data with the DMS Business Unit Data Analytics team, the Center of Excellence team, and external developers.
• Optimize data retrieval, develop dashboard reports, and merge diverse business interests into a coherent, cost‑effective set of project priorities following agile practices.
• Oversee DMS IT project and portfolio initiatives, ensuring alignment between project teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
• Maintain, build, and improve dashboards, reports, and data analysis tools.
• Develop data load processes and data models to integrate data from various sources.
• Validate and integrate data management and software engineering technologies.
• Participate in code reviews, peer inspections, and technical design/specification reviews.
• Collaborate on data warehouse architecture and technical design discussions.
• Manage and organize data in data lakes, monitoring trends and inconsistencies that impact business goals.
• Act as a data steward, understanding data sources and key integration points.
• Define data integration and storage strategies.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, plans, and status reports to management.
• Assist stakeholders in defining project scope and objectives, negotiating to prevent scope creep.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Electronics Communication, Data Science, or Business Informatics.
• 60 months of related experience, with at least 5 years in data engineering, data analytics, BI, data management, business analysis, and project management.
• Minimum 3 years experience with SQL, Java, or Python.
• Minimum 3 years experience with data ingestion/integration tools such as HVR, Informatica, Qlik Replicate/Attunity Replicate, Azure Data Factory, or Synapse.
• Minimum 5 years experience with data analytics and visualization tools like Power BI or Qlik Sense.
• Minimum 5 years experience with data lake/data warehouse architectures, including Snowflake, Alteryx, MS Synapse, or Apache Spark.
• Minimum 5 years experience with SAP ERP, SAP HANA, PostgreSQL, or MES.
• Minimum 3 years experience in SQL database design and data modeling.
• Minimum 3 years experience in ETL (extract, transform, load) processes.
• Minimum 3 years experience with cloud technologies and tools such as AWS or MS Azure.
• 5 years experience completing projects using Agile, Dev Ops project management, and Microsoft Project.
