Role Overview

The Student Program at Nexteer Automotive offers high‑potential students meaningful opportunities to apply classroom learning in a professional environment while gaining hands‑on experience and valuable industry exposure.

• Provide personalized, in‑person IT support to resolve reported issues.
• Build and configure computers.
• Install and troubleshoot hardware drivers and peripherals.
• Maintain and update IT documentation.

• Gain hands‑on experience supporting an enterprise Windows environment.
• Practical exposure to ITIL‑aligned incident and request management workflows.
• Mentorship from Nexteer's End User Computing team.

• Demonstrated interest and foundational knowledge in IT.
• Strong interest in providing face‑to‑face technical support.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and active listening skills.
• Ability to solve problems both independently and collaboratively.
• Must be enrolled full‑time at a 2‑ or 4‑year college or university local to Auburn Hills, MI, pursuing a bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
• Maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale.
• Available to work 20–32 hours per week, onsite, during Fall and Winter semesters.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

• Hands‑on experience.
