Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Communications Intern to support the strategic communication efforts within the Project Management Office (PMO) and the Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO). This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate who is passionate about internal communications, digital engagement, organizational storytelling, and project management within a technology or corporate environment.

This internship is ideal for students passionate about technology, storytelling, and innovation — and eager to gain hands-on experience in corporate and project communications within a fast-evolving automotive environment.

Responsibilities of Position
  • Draft, edit, and distribute internal communications such as announcements, and executive messages.
  • Create visual, engaging and written materials that explain PMO initiatives, IT projects, and organizational priorities in accessible ways.
  • Help solidify an IT communication framework (standards, channels, templates, and cadences)
  • Help build an IT SharePoint site aimed at both IT employees and the broader global organization (content structure, page design, and ongoing maintenance)
  • Assist in maintaining internal communication channels and updating content regularly.
  • Design visual materials (presentations, infographics, and dashboards) that simplify complex technical information.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project updates, summaries, and dashboards for stakeholder reporting.
  • Support communication planning for IT and PMO-led initiatives, including change management and user adoption efforts.
  • Assist in scheduling, meeting preparation, and documentation for PMO and OCIO communications activities.
  • Help coordinate internal events led by the PMO or CIO’s office.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration between IT, PMO, and corporate communications teams.
  • Monitor communication effectiveness and suggest improvements based on feedback and engagement metrics.
Skill Requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams).
  • Creative thinker with a strong ability to translate technical or project-based content into clear, engaging narratives.
  • Familiarity with project management or IT terminology is preferred.
  • Interest in the automotive industry, digital transformation, and innovation.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
Education Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
