EH&S Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced EH&S Manager to provide technical environmental health and safety support to both production and corporate teams. This role will lead the development of company-wide environmental, health, and safety programs while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.

• Partner with operations, engineering, HR, and other departments to provide EH&S leadership and technical guidance
• Develop annual EH&S goals and maintain monthly performance metrics
• Create and deliver EH&S training, including New Hire Orientation
• Develop and maintain written environmental, safety, and health programs and policies
• Participate in new product and process reviews, including hazard analyses and operator training
• Support engineering teams in implementing safety controls
• Assist with PPE selection and compliance
• Maintain corporate EH&S resources and regulatory materials
• Promote EH&S awareness through communication and training initiatives
• Serve on the Executive Environmental Health & Safety Committee
• Lead hazard communication programs and reporting
• Monitor and interpret regulatory updates to ensure timely compliance
• Conduct plant audits to ensure adherence to company programs and federal/state regulations
• Monitor lost‑time injuries, illnesses, and workers’ compensation claims
• Review safety committee reports and incident investigations, following up as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Minimum of six years of experience in a Safety Engineer or EH&S Manager role within a related assembly environment
• Strong knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations including OSHA 1910, NFPA 70E, ANSI B11.19, RIA 15.06, EN 13849-1, and related standards
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to identify onsite risk factors and take appropriate action with professionalism and tact
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with employees, regulatory officials, and executive leadership
• Demonstrated ability to remain composed and decisive in high‑pressure situations

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Safety Health Manager (CSHM)
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills
• Ability to interpret scientific, technical, legal, and financial documents
• Strong presentation skills, including communication with senior leadership and external stakeholders
• Strong problem‑solving and quantitative analysis skills
