job summary

the shipping & receiving clerk is an entry-level or intern position responsible for supporting daily production, inventory, and facility operations. This role helps maintain an organized, efficient manufacturing environment by assisting with material movement, kitting, inventory activities, cleaning, and basic system data entry. The position is ideal for a high school student, college student, or individual seeking hands-on experience in manufacturing or supply chain operations.

essential duties & responsibilities

• pick up parts from suppliers and deliver parts to local businesses as needed
• clean and organize workstations to support efficient engine build operations
• support the inventory crib by bagging, tagging, binning materials, and assisting with kitting
• perform cycle counts to support inventory accuracy
• assist the shipping & receiving lead with maintaining a clean and organized receiving area, including disposal of excess packaging and boxes
• enter data into the mrp system during system launch and stabilization
• perform general production and facility support tasks as assigned

required qualifications

• high school diploma or currently enrolled in high school or college
• ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving parts/materials within safety guidelines
• reliable transportation for local parts runs
• basic computer skills and ability to perform data entry
• ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment

preferred qualifications

• interest in manufacturing, supply chain, or operations
• previous experience in a shop, warehouse, or inventory environment
