Job Summary
The primary role of the Assembly Technician is to balance and test pneumatic measurement tools as well as read and understand mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical assemblies.
Primary Responsibilities- Assembly technicians responsible for the mechanical & pneumatic sub-assemblies, including machine tooling and gauge heads.
- Inspect and balance pneumatic measurement tools.
- Calculate air consumption and flow rates.
- Perform accuracy and repeatability tests on pneumatic measurement tools as well as others.
- Integrate a variety of commercial components into tooling, machines, and solutions.
- Customer interaction with finished product.
- Work in and maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Understand a “Process-driven” work environment for your team.
Help others in final assembly as required.
Manage supplies required for position (filters, O-rings, etc.).
Requirements- Strong basic math skills including algebra and trigonometry.
- Dimensional metrology.
- Basic GD&T (geometric tolerance).
- Basic measurements.
- Basic use of shop tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators).
- Basic knowledge of transducers, transducer-to-PC interface methods, columns, and computers.
- Ability to read mechanical, pneumatic & electrical blueprints.
- Understanding of measurements.
- Capable and willing for some international travel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands or fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, keyboard, and talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
Education and Experience- High School Diploma or GED.
- Some technical schooling is a plus.
- At least six months’ experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.
