A leading automotive manufacturer in Auburn Hills is seeking an experienced INDUSTRIAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
to keep advanced production equipment and automated systems running safely and at peak performance.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automated production machinery.
- Dismantle equipment to access, remove and replace worn and defective drive mechanisms, hydraulic components and piping.
- Realign and adjust critical mechanical components, including spindles and clutches.
- Set up and operate tool room machinery. (lathes, drill presses, grinders).
- Perform modifications to computer controlled automation systems.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, and an organized work area.
- First & Second shift opportunities
- High school diploma OR GED.
- 3+ years mechanical/hydraulic maintenance experience.
- Strong working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives, and basic metalworking tools.
- Basic understanding of automated equipment and PLC motion adjustments.
- Understand safety rules, operating manuals, technical instructions.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
