Assembly Operators

Cardinal Staffing is interviewing Assembly Operators for a facility in Auburn Hills, MI. We're looking for candidates who will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, and packaging light automotive parts. This role is a fast-paced, high-volume production position focused on driveline, sealing, or thermal-management components.

Shifts:

• 1st: 6am - 2pm
• 2nd: 2pm - 10pm
• 3rd: 10pm - 6am

Job Description:

• Assemble small automotive parts by hand or load raw components into specialized automated machinery.
• Perform visual inspections of parts to strict engineering standards. Identify and report defects or scrap parts.
• Adhere to tight station cycle times (often around 12 seconds per part) to meet daily plant production quotas.
• Pack finished parts into cardboard containers or transport totes. Use fixtures, jigs, or torque tools as required.
• Maintain basic paper or digital logs tracking production numbers, downtime, and lot traceability.
• Adhere to plant safety protocols, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and maintaining a clean workstation

Requirements:

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED
• Ability to stand continuously for 8-to-12-hour shifts.
• Must be capable of continuous bending, twisting, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
• Occasionally be able to lift bulk boxes or components up to 50 pounds.
• Availability to work mandatory daily and weekend overtime, which can scale up to 7 days a week during peak production launches.
