Pipefitter - Lead

Summary:
Assembles and installs pipe systems, pipe supports, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for hydraulic, pneumatic, lube and coolant systems by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Leading crews of 10+ and ordering materials
• Cuts, threads, and bends pipe.
• Assembles and installs variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper, and plastic.
• Connects pipes, using threaded, soldered, and brazed joints.
• Secures pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers.
• Installs and maintains hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
• Pressure check system and observes connected pressure gauge to test system for leaks.
• Welds pipe supports to structural steel members.
• Observes production machines in assigned area of manufacturing facility to detect machinery malfunctions.
• Provide cost to complete estimates bi-weekly.
• Log rework at the time of the rework.
• Participate in "Go fast” and Kaizen events.
• Keep work areas clean and safe.

• Other duties and projects may be assigned.
