Shop Technician/Electronics Assembly, Testing and Inspection

Established global specialty OEM Induction equipment manufacturer and a leader in the industry. Supplies induction systems and components for the aerospace, automotive and industrial industries. We have a full time position for a Shop Technician in the Assembly, testing and Inspection area of our facility at our Auburn Hills, MI plant.

Job Responsibilities:

· Assembly of components to produce assigned electrical, electronic and induction coil assemblies

· Wrapping and gluing sub-components to build into the overall electrical coil assembly

· Ability to read and comprehend design drawings and dimensional data

· Conduct mechanical dimensional inspection and leak testing of end assemblies

· Conduct electrical inspection and testing of end assemblies and document performance values.

· Conduct electrical performance inspection and testing for material characterization.

· Work with the inventory of component and finished assembly parts

Qualifications:

· Preference for prior assembly experience of electrical assemblies

· Motivated, multitasker, someone who takes direction well, is trainable and willing to learn

· Prior shop technician skills preferred and ability to perform Electrical performance and dimensional measurements a definite desire

· Manufacturing work experience with valid driver’s license a must

· Computer literate with prior skills in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and able to input data into required database fields for data tracking and management.

Work Hours & Salary:

Hours are 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. M-F rarely any overtime.

Salary: D.O.E. $21+ per hour.
