JOB SUMMARYThe inspection and administrative specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety, environmental, and facility management programs. This role ensures regulatory compliance, conducts inspections and audits, and supports continuous improvement of workplace safety, environmental performance, and infrastructure reliability. This role needs to support the team by providing data and maintaining record keeping.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Inspection Specialist Roles
- Conduct routine inspections of production area, facilities, and utility systems.
- Perform EHS related inspections:
Fire extinguisher, eyewash, AED, first-aid, hazardous equipment, and etc. - Risk assessment support: workplace assessment (air quality, noise level, water quality, ergonomics)
- Track corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely closure.
- Follow-up after-incident reporting system & corrective actions
- Coordinate cross-functional projects related to EHS and facility management.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management review. (ISO 14001 & 45001)
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, MIOSHA, and other applicable regulations.
- Maintain permits, records, and documentation required by regulatory agencies.
- Analyze inspection findings and performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
- Administrative Specialist (Compliance and HQ Standards)
- Monitor and maintain building infrastructure, utilities, and support systems.
- Communicate directly with Service Providers, Vendors, and Maintenance Contractors
- Coordinate scheduling preventive maintenance activities and facility improvement projects.
- Develop and deliver EHS awareness programs.
- Create and update the training materials.
- Conduct safety training for new hires and contractors.
- Working knowledge and experience with manufacturing, engineering and office facility operations
- Experience and training in OSHA General Industry regulations and practices as well as working knowledge of safety
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of Management/Staff

- Identify concerns and initiate corrective actions (through verification) relating to product, process and quality systems
- Initiate preventative and continuous improvement actions relating to product, process and quality systems
- Follow safe work procedures established by the Company; and follow the OH&S directions of the head of your department or supervisor
- Use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systems
- Where PPE is required to control exposure to hazards in the workplace, wear and maintain the PPE as directed, as indicated in a risk assessment, or as required in OH&S procedures
- Use other safety and emergency equipment provided in the workplace as directed or as required in OH&S procedures
- Assist with the preparation of risk assessments
- Before commencing work or research, a risk assessment should be conducted to identify, assess and control the hazards associated with the work or research. This should be conducted in conjunction with other relevant staff, researchers and the supervisor
- Report OH&S problems
- Report workplace hazards to the supervisor as soon as possible after they occur
- Report injury or illness arising from workplace activities using the incident/injury reporting system as soon as possible after the incident
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
