Quality Assurance Specialist Opportunity in Auburn Hills
Are you a creative problem solver with a passion for quality assurance in the automotive industry? Join us in Auburn Hills, MI, where you'll work at the heart of automotive innovation. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your expertise in a dynamic environment and make a significant impact on vehicle warranty quality. This is a 12-month contract position with a 40-hour work week, offering you the chance to collaborate with leading professionals in the field.
Responsibilities- Manage and resolve product launch quality issues and continuous improvement activities.
- Monitor customer product quality levels and implement corrective actions.
- Plan, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment.
- Develop relationships with internal engineering organizations to ensure the transfer of product knowledge.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product design, quality, and service operations.
- Prepare monthly data reporting metrics and scorecards.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of product or quality engineering experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems/components design and manufacture.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in data analytics and ability to draw meaningful conclusions from raw data.
- Ability to travel domestically.
- In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting automotive systems and components.
- Experience in manufacturing, design release, and/or supplier quality.
- Strong background in powertrain assemblies such as engines, transmissions, and drive lines.
- Proficiency in warranty operations systems and warranty supplier recovery negotiations.
