This role goes beyond running existing programs, it requires building new inspection programs from blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T requirements, then optimizing them for accuracy and cycle time. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in PC-DMIS programming, comfortable working from complex engineering drawings, and able to translate part tolerances into efficient, repeatable inspection routines.
WhatYou'll Do
- Develop new CMM inspection programs in PC-DMIS from blueprints, CAD models, and engineering specifications
- Program and optimize inspection routines for precision-machined CNC components across a wide variety of low-volume, high-mix parts
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T callouts to define accurate inspection strategies
- Validate and debug new and existing PC-DMIS programs to ensure measurement accuracy and repeatability
- Perform first-article inspections (FAI), in-process checks, and final inspections as required
