Position OverviewWe are looking for a detail-oriented CRM Data Specialist to support the development of a complete, accurate, and actionable view of customers, accounts, and contacts within the construction materials and building products industry.
This short-term role focuses primarily on data enrichment, data consolidation, research, and CRM completeness. There are no outbound cold calls or inbound sales responsibilities. The ideal candidate is curious, persistent, highly detail-oriented, and comfortable researching multiple sources to piece together a complete company and account profile, including account relationships and hierarchies, that sales teams can confidently use.
Key Responsibilities Customer Research & Data Enrichment- Research companies, accounts, contacts, job roles, locations, and business relationships to strengthen customer records in Salesforce.
- Investigate missing, incomplete, duplicate, or inconsistent customer information using Salesforce, internal records, web research, and other available resources.
- Identify and connect related accounts and contacts to help sales teams understand the broader customer relationship and account structure.
- Document research findings clearly and concisely so sales representatives can quickly understand the customer and take appropriate action.
- Update and maintain customer, account, and contact information within Salesforce.
- Review account ownership, existing notes, and customer records to identify data quality issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Improve CRM completeness by filling gaps in company information, locations, customer types, contact roles, and account relationships.
- Identify and flag duplicate, outdated, inaccurate, or incomplete records, as well as unclear ownership or records requiring sales follow-up or additional validation.
- Research construction-related companies and key influencers, including contractors, builders, architects, developers, distributors, and other project stakeholders.
- Develop accurate account profiles and identify relationships between companies, contacts, and projects.
- Summarize research findings in a concise, practical format that enables sales and business teams to make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with DCX, sales, and marketing teams to improve customer visibility, CRM usability, and data quality.
- 1–3+ years of experience in data entry, research, CRM administration/support, sales operations, customer operations, construction administration, or a related field.
- Experience researching companies, contacts, customer records, or business relationships within a CRM or structured database environment.
- High school diploma or GED required; additional education or experience in business, sales, construction management, or a related field is a plus.
- Must have Salesforce CRM experience
