Overview

The following responsibilities and requirements apply to the position described below. This description is not an exhaustive statement of duties, responsibilities or requirements.

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment.
• Perform various facilities maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, and related problems on machinery/equipment and perform timely repairs.
• Establish appropriate preventive maintenance frequency and perform regular maintenance on all machinery/equipment within the facility.
• Perform timely facility and building maintenance and minor repairs, maintaining a clean and safe work area.
• Dismantle defective machines/equipment and install new or repaired equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and repairs.
• Coordinate and make recommendations on work-related contracts and services.
• Supervise outside contractors when needed for mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance.
• Participate in, support, and comply with health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements.
• This position works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery.
• Adhere to the applicable employee attributes/competencies set by the employer.

Minimum Requirements:

• Demonstrate mechanical and technical aptitude
• 3–5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environment
• College degree or certificate in a technical area or related field
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
