Are you looking to work for a company that provides an innovative work environment, and your voice is heard? We have a position for an Autonomous Vehicle Integration Technician in Auburn Hills. We are looking for someone with roughly 3 to 5 years of hands-on integration or ADAS technician level experience.

What you will be doing:
- Install wiring harnesses, cables, connectors, and communication networks within commercial trucks.
- Install equipment racks, mounting brackets, and structural components used to support autonomous driving hardware.
- Install, route, secure, and protect electrical and data cabling according to engineering specifications.
- Integrate computing platforms, networking equipment, data logging systems, and electronic control hardware.
- Install and configure vehicle power distribution systems, batteries, DC power converters, fuses, relays, and associated components.
- Perform mechanical assembly, drilling, mounting, fastening, and cable management activities while maintaining workmanship standards.
- Install, mount, and connect autonomous vehicle sensors, including:
Cameras, Radars, Lidars, IMUs (Inertial Measurement Units), and GNSS/GPS receivers and antennas. - Verify sensor placement, orientation, and installation quality according to engineering requirements.
- Support sensor calibration and validation activities as directed by engineering staff.
- Read and interpret vehicle architecture diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, installation procedures, and build documentation.
- Follow detailed work instructions and accurately document completed work.
- Report installation issues, discrepancies, or improvement opportunities to engineering and senior technicians.
- Perform basic electrical checks, continuity testing, and hardware verification.
- Verify proper operation of installed systems before vehicle release.
- Assist engineers with system bring-up, troubleshooting, and integration activities.
- Support root-cause investigation of hardware installation issues.
- Replicate validated vehicle builds across multiple trucks while maintaining consistency and quality standards.
- Ensure installations comply with safety requirements and engineering specifications.
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, and inventory.
- Participate in continuous improvement of installation processes and build procedures.
- Work initially under the direction of a Senior Autonomous Vehicle Technician and engineering staff; after completing training, independently execute repeatable truck builds ensuring each vehicle is assembled consistently and in accordance with approved engineering designs and quality standards.
What you'll need to be successful:
- Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in Automotive Technology, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical field.
- Basic understanding of automotive electrical systems.
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation instructions.
- Experience using standard hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and handle equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Ability to work independently after training.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate with engineers and senior technicians.
- Ability to follow standardized processes and reproduce builds consistently across multiple vehicles.
Preferred:
- Experience working on commercial vehicles, trucks, automotive prototypes, or specialty vehicles.
- Familiarity with CAN networks, Ethernet, or vehicle communications.
- Experience with low-voltage electrical systems and wiring harness fabrication.
- Experience installing electronics, sensors, or automotive accessories.
