Maintenance Team Lead

Maintenance Team Lead – Pay Rate $22.00/hour

Lead the team that keeps the attraction running, ensuring both SEA LIFE Michigan Aquarium and Peppa Pig World of Play remain safe and operational. This role is a hands‑on, full‑time position that offers variety, leadership opportunities, and a supportive team environment.

• Help lead and support a small Facilities team.
• Train and guide technicians throughout the day.
• Handle hands‑on repairs and maintenance around the attraction.
• Troubleshoot issues involving lighting, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and general repairs.
• Complete painting, wall repair, equipment setup, and preventative maintenance.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures.
• Support safety and operational standards across the attraction.
• Jump in wherever needed to keep operations running smoothly.

• Enjoy hands‑on work and problem‑solving.
• Have maintenance, handyman, facilities, construction, or repair experience.
• Have some experience leading, training, or mentoring others.
• Can stay organized and productive in a busy environment.
• Are reliable, self‑motivated, and team‑focused.
• Like helping others learn and succeed.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or facilities maintenance is a plus.
• OSHA or trade certifications are helpful but not required.
