Senior Software Engineer

In this role, the Software Development Engineer will be responsible for developing and deploying embedded software solutions for Borg Warner AWD products. Utilizing their technical expertise, they will ensure software product deadlines and deliverables are achieved. They will specify, design, develop, test, release, maintain, and enhance embedded software components of Borg Warner’s AWD products. They will develop the software products utilizing a combination of Model based design, autocode generation, and embedded c programming.

The software development will follow the Borg Warner software development process which complies to Automotive SPICE. The successful candidate will join a respectful, collaborative, and talented team, and will work in a professional high-tech environment with an opportunity to change and shape the future of mobility and transportation. They will work along with other Borg Warner engineers to ensure that program goals are met, schedules are maintained, and problems encountered during the development process are satisfactorily resolved.

Borg Warner Drivetrain & Morse Systems is currently looking for “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Software Development Engineer in our Application Engineering organization at our Propulsion Technical Center (PTC) in Auburn Hills, MI.

Key Accountabilities:

• Analyze and Estimate SW Development Activities and Tasks.
• Elicit, Analyze, Decompose, Develop, and Manage Software Requirements.
• Identify and Define SW Units, documenting the SW Detailed Design of the SW units.
• Develop Software Units according to the Detailed Design, using various programming languages, methods, and techniques as appropriate. This includes model based design, autocode generation, and embedded c programming.
