Senior Accountant

Description

A growing organization in the Auburn area is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its team.

This role offers strong visibility within the organization and a clear path for advancement into future leadership opportunities as the company continues to expand.

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month-end close process, and assisting with financial reporting and operational analysis. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and wants to grow into a management role over time.

Key Responsibilities

+ Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules

+ Assist with the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting

+ Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts

+ Support financial statement preparation and management reporting

+ Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis as needed

+ Partner with operations to improve accounting processes and financial visibility

+ Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards

Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

+ 3+ years of accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment

+ Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting

+ Quick Books Online experience preferred

+ Experience in construction or real estate industries is a plus

+ Strong Excel and analytical skills

+ Excellent communication and organizational abilities
