Summary

Seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to join manufacturing operations in Auburn, Alabama. The role will be responsible for general ledger management, full‑cycle AP/AR operations, and supporting audit and tax compliance. The position serves as a key link between the production floor and financial stakeholders, ensuring accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Manage full‑cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including three‑way matching (PO, receiving documents, and vendor invoices), AR aging, collections, and dispute resolution.
  • Perform daily cash management and bank/credit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations for month‑end close.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, budget vs. actual reports, and other management reports.
  • Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audits.
  • Assist with federal, state, and local tax filings (sales tax, use tax, property tax, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal control procedures.
Working Hours

8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or S/4

    HANA is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, especially advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
  • Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and negotiation ability.
