The Biomedical Sciences Program in the College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM) in connection with the COSAM Office of Communications and Marketing is seeking a detail-oriented student worker to support website updates, digital content posting, and day-to-day maintenance of the Biomedical Sciences Program online presence. This position helps ensure the accuracy and accessibility of information shared with students, faculty, and the public.
Responsibilities- Use Cascade CMS to update and maintain content across the COSAM website
- Post announcements, stories, and events to the Auburn University Wire (AU Wire)
- Format and upload images, update links, and revise outdated content
- Monitor site content for quality assurance (e.g., broken links, formatting issues, and accessibility compliance)
- Assist with digital projects such as content migration, web audits, and branding updates
- Collaborate with communications staff to ensure content aligns with university standards
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently enrolled undergraduate student at Auburn University
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and reliably meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy in written content
- Experience using Cascade CMS or similar web content platforms
- Familiarity with AU Wire or university communications workflows
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS or image editing tools (e.g., Photoshop, Canva)
- Interest in marketing, communications, or web design
- Pay Rate: $13.00 per hour
