Overview
Student Assistant (Training Unit) works with Auburn University Outreach’s Government & Economic Development Institute (GEDI) to support professional training courses and workshops. This role helps with preparing materials, organizing supplies, and assisting with online and in‑person training logistics. It’s a great opportunity for students interested in gaining hands‑on experience in event support, office operations, and training coordination.
Responsibilities- Photocopy, print, and assemble course packets and training resources
- Assist with grading course exams and processing participant evaluations
- Track, organize, and restock training supplies
- Support mass mailings and maintain training‑related data and records
- Assist with Canvas course pages and hybrid or online course setup
- Provide general administrative support and assist with special projects as needed
- Enrolled Auburn University student
- Ability to work 15 hours per week during normal work hours
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Detailed oriented
- Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively while meeting deadlines on multiple projects
