Buyer I

Lennox AES is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Buyer I to support our operations in Tallassee. This role is responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, supplies, and equipment essential to maintaining efficient day-to-day operations. This position requires the ability to work independently, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost-effective purchasing while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure materials, supplies, and equipment to meet operational requirements
• Review and validate purchase requisitions for accuracy and completeness
• Source pricing and evaluate vendors for cost, quality, and delivery performance
• Issue and manage purchase orders with approved suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and service expectations
• Track orders to ensure correct quantities and on-time delivery
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and inventory
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality issues
• Partner with Accounting to resolve invoice discrepancies
• Support strategic sourcing and cost improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• 3+ years of purchasing or procurement experience preferred
• Indirect purchasing experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with supplier negotiations and vendor management

Compensation:
This is a salaried non-exempt role. This means that employees are paid a salary and also receive overtime pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law). The starting salary range for this role and market is between $44,800 - $58,800 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Employees in this role are also eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company's applicable plan.
