Search for the Associate Provost for Institutional Effectiveness Auburn University – Auburn, Alabama Overview
Auburn University seeks a strategic, forward-thinking, and collaborative academic leader to serve as its next Associate Provost for Institutional Effectiveness (APIE). The APIE will work in the Office of the Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and will help further position the Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) as a trusted resource and institutional leader as Auburn embarks on its next era of institutional planning and achievement.

- Lead and champion university-wide collaboration and data-informed decision-making across the institution to improve academic operations and effectiveness.
- Lead the units of Academic Insight, Accreditation, Information Technology/Resources, and Institutional Research.
- Foster a strategic, proactive, and analytical culture within the OIE to serve the University’s academic mission.
- Provide the data and critical analyses required to inform institutional effectiveness.
- Assist Auburn’s leadership on institutional trends and track and monitor the goals, outcomes, and KPIs for the University’s strategic plan.
- Record of scholarly achievement and teaching that qualifies for tenure and the rank of full professor at Auburn.
- Strategic systems-thinker with strong analytical skills and sophisticated understanding of rigorous institutional assessment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative leadership style with the ability to work productively across diverse perspectives.
- Capacity to synthesize and present complex data to university leadership, academic deans, faculty, and staff.
- Flexible, inquisitive, and committed to collaboration while managing staff and processes.
- Excellent relational skills to engender trust, inspire a team, and serve multiple constituents across campus.
