Job Summary
Provides care to education ambassadors at the Auburn University Raptor Center under the direction of Education Staff and assists with outreach efforts. Some weekends and/or holidays will be required. In-state and some out-of-state travel is also a requirement for this position. Most travel is same day.
Essential Functions
* Conducts raptor educational programs to include teaching, public speaking, and providing expertise and assistance in outreach efforts under the direction of Education Staff.
* Provides and assists in the care and training of the Auburn University Raptor Center's educational ambassadors under the direction of the education staff.
* Assists volunteers with training, proper handling, restraining, and husbandry of educational ambassadors as directed.
* Assists with facility maintenance as needed.
* Administrative tasks as needed.
* Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
* Currently enrolled Auburn University student.
* Minimum of 1-year working with animals.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience training raptors using positive reinforcement techniques and participating in public presentations.
