The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Auburn University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Construction Engineering and Management beginning in Fall 2027. While applications at the Assistant Professor level are especially encouraged, exceptional candidates may be considered for appointment as Associate Professor. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop a nationally recognized externally funded research program, mentor graduate students, and contribute to professional and university service activities.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in civil engineering, construction engineering, or a closely related field by the start date and demonstrate strong communication skills. Auburn University is a Carnegie R1, land-grant institution with more than 30,000 students and a nationally recognized engineering college. The department includes 26 tenure-track faculty and offers B.C.E., M.S., M.C.E., and Ph.D. degrees.
