ResponsibilitiesWe seek a highly motivated individual who will establish an independent, externally funded research program and contribute to the department’s teaching mission. The successful candidate will participate in team teaching in the first-year veterinary curriculum, with emphasis on systems-based physiology, and contribute to graduate-level instruction.
Current faculty maintain active programs across a broad range of disciplines, including anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, neuroscience, toxicology, and reproductive biology. These strengths support a highly collaborative research environment that extends throughout the College of Veterinary Medicine, across Auburn University, and through external research partnerships. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to this dynamic environment through collaborative scholarship, graduate student mentorship, and active participation in the intellectual and professional growth of the department.
QualificationsRequired qualifications:
- A doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences or a related field at the time the appointment begins
- Evidence of research productivity and the potential to establish an independent research program
- Commitment to excellence in instruction
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Research foci which could synergize with established areas of interest in department, college, and university.
