Intern Responsibilities
- The Intern is responsible for applying engineering principles through the planning and development of tools, methods, processes, facilities, and equipment that maximize the quality of the final product in the most effective, efficient, and economical way possible.
- Create assembly/disassembly instructions.
- Contribute to model automation and fixturing design work.
- Update and maintain engineering specifications and standards.
- Work closely with manufacturing personnel to solve on‑the‑job problems.
- Review standards and drawings and facilitate updates as needed.
- Support VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) projects.
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills which foster teamwork and collaboration and develop high quality working relationships to influence, gain support, and achieve results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively deliver and transfer technical concepts.
- Intermediate level proficiency with MS Office software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Enrolled in a University or College program at junior or senior level, preferred course of study to include ME

Potential physical demands include, but are not limited to, frequent walking and standing, occasional twisting, stooping, carrying, handling, pushing, and pulling, climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Potential sensory demands include hearing and seeing.
The majority of time is spent in a manufacturing production environment, with some climate‑controlled areas. Personal protective safety equipment must be worn, and proper safety precautions must be observed.
