The Corporate Waste and SIS Environment Domain Program Specialist is responsible for two primary program areas:
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Track and monitor regulatory changes related to the management of waste, including participation with various state and federal advocacy organizations to provide a platform for Stellantis to comment on regulatory initiatives beyond individually.
- Maintain corporate procedures and Stationary Environmental Bulletins related to waste management compliance issues.
- Educate and train Stellantis personnel on applicable waste regulatory and corporate requirements; include the use and entry of data into HAZMIN, ETrack, and the TSDR database.
- Identify, share and implement waste best practices to drive waste reduction and reuse activities at Stellantis facilities throughout NAFTA.
- Work with MLM and/or other corporate organization on packaging or other initiatives to drive reductions in waste throughout the company.
- Interface with regulatory agency representatives when necessary to address waste compliance inspections.
- Other tasks required to achieve a compliant, robust and proactive waste compliance program for Stellantis facilities.
- Work with the Global and Regional SIS Environmental Teams on a regular basis to develop processes, procedures, fundamentals, tools and standards for implementation of the Env. Domain.
- Be NA lead for all Environment Domain activities to drive execution by the plants in a standardized way, and support the Env Domain audits to be conducted by the Manufacturing Environmental Staff managers.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Engineering, Science or related field.
- Excellent understanding of state and federal regulations related to the management, characterization and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes (RCRA).
- Minimum of five years of relevant environmental compliance experience such as manufacturing environmental specialist, environmental consulting, regulatory agency, etc.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite and/or other computer software database tools.
- Master's degree in Environmental, Engineering, Science or related field.
- Environmental related professional certifications (e.g., PE, CHMM).
- Automotive or manufacturing environmental compliance experience.
