The Durability & Quality-in-Use (QIU) Project Performance Engineer (PPE) will be responsible to plan and coordinate all durability/QIU development activities for the program they are assigned. The PPE will also lead cross-functional durability & QIU teams and represent durability/QIU in vehicle integration meetings, architecture meetings, and Advance Concepts engineering meetings. The selected candidate will also manage durability/QIU issue resolution and work with Design, systems and components, CAE, Loads Analysis, RTS & DAQ Labs, IVPMs and test engineers.
The Durability PPE will also present durability & QIU in program reviews. PPE is responsible for the durability & QIU deliverables at all four development phases of the project:
Advance, Design & Development, Tooling, and validation.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of automotive industry experience.
- Good knowledge of fundamental physics and experience in root cause and issue resolution.
- Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and 3 years of full vehicle durability and/or vehicle integration.
- Preferred familiarity with CAE and durability loads with strong Microsoft 365 suite skills, and strong organization and communication skills.
